Have yourself a “metal” christmas…
Well, I don’t think that our music really lends itself to the holidays, but here goes anyway…
Name some “holiday” songs that fit into the raiseyourfists world of music. What are the songs/bands/albums that get you through the holidays? I can’t think of too many “christmas-ey” metal songs, but I’ll give it a try. The goal is to end up with at least a top 10 list for the holidays.

On top of those, there’s Twisted Sister’s Chistmas album from last year, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Gary Hoey’s Christmas albums, an 80s hair metal band compilation “We Wish You A Hairy Christmas”, a black/death metal comp called “A Brutal Christmas”, and the German mix of talent called “X-Mas Project” (folks from Rage, Tankard, Mekong Delta, etc.)
Wow, I was completely ignorant of the fact that there were so many metal songs about (or against) Christmas.
I’ll add my own Christmas songs to the mix. A couple of years ago, I recorded a metal cover of I’m Getting Nuttin for Christmas and an acoustic version of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause only I updated the lyrics to I Saw Daddy Killing Santa Clause. I used original first verse and changed verse 2 to –

Underneath the tree a sea of red
What mommy didnt know
Was daddy was coming home
to find on christmas that his wife was such a
ho, ho, ho
that gets my vote for best christmas song

X-Mas by KoRn. It’s kinda slow, but very brutal.
nah u mean ‘Jingle Balls’ by KoRn. It’s heavier than a granite elephant wearing iron boots!
Also, ‘Dead Christmas’ by Monster Magnet is a nice ditty.
This is more “emo” but this song is really pretty “Alone this Holiday” By The Used.
